Friends of Fiber art
International Art
Through Friends of Fiber Art International, collectors, artists and enthusiasts aim to increase appreciation and understanding of contemporary art in fiber media by 1) Disseminating information about and encourage collection of contemporary fiber art; 2) Supporting museum shows of fiber art through direct funding and maintenance of the Registry of Contemporary Fiber Art Collections; 3) Encouraging scholarship and critical writing about art constructed in fibrous materials; 4) Stimulating fiber art exhibition in galleries; and 5) Educating collectors and potential collectors through tours and visits to fiber art collections.
